About me

I’m a strategic communications leader with more than 26 years of experience across television, radio, print and public education. For the past 13 years, I’ve specialized in K–12 public school communications, partnering with districts to strengthen transparency, build community trust and tell the story of public education with clarity and purpose.

My work centers on making complex information accessible, equitable and professionally delivered. Whether navigating sensitive issues, managing crisis communications or elevating everyday stories from our schools, I bring a steady, thoughtful approach grounded in credibility and service.

I’m deeply committed to advancing the professionalism and effectiveness of public education communications. As a proud recipient of 13 Washington School Public Relations Association awards, I’m honored to have my work recognized by colleagues across the state.

Before transitioning into public education, I spent much of my career in television, radio and print media, serving as on-air talent, in management, as a marketing consultant and as an owner/editor. That blend of private and public sector experience allows me to work seamlessly with media partners and ensure schools are represented with accuracy, fairness and integrity.

At the heart of it all, I believe strong schools build strong communities. Strong communication bridges the gap between schools and people.
